ANDOR.
I hope it's as good as advertised.

So I am 7 episodes in and Andor is OK. A slow burn to somewhere I hope.
This is what happens when my expectations are set too high.
5 episodes to go!

I took yesterday off and watched Andor (7.5/10), Ahsoka (7/10), and then The Acolyte (7/10). :D

Clone Wars (2008)
I'd never seen it before.
Pretty brutal for a cartoon network show.
Lots and lots of deaths.

Not bingeing, no. However I am tuning in week to week re the following:
-House of the Dragon -The Boys -Finished Apple's Dark Matter just recently -Evil (this show seems to not know where it's going with the larger arc but at least it's interesting re the individual cases, not sure it will finish the larger story before it gets cancelled or something)

Has anybody ever watched The Killing (2012 - 4 seasons)? I accidentally found it streaming on Hulu and just finished Season One. Excellent cast, especially the 2 leads. It is a cop procedural. The fact that it is set in Seattle is what caught my eye. So many shots of Seattle landscape and names of places and towns close to my home I grew up in. It's kind of a cross between Broadchurch, Twin Peaks and Mayor of East Town. Each episode is one day in the murder mystery with a mayoral race in the background. A little disappointed they didn't solve the mystery at the end of season one, but that is okay as I can just start watching season 2. It's already an all-time favorite of mine. I am interested in any thoughts anyone here who watched it might have. No spoilers please. I think it was originally on AMC and is a remake of a Swiss or Swedish series.

Yes, really liked The Killing and it led me to watch the Danish series on which it was based. If you don't mind subtitles, you might check out Forbrydelsen.

This summer, I'm watching my way through the four seasons of The Last Man on Earth, about a handful of survivors of a pandemic, which ran shortly before the real thing. It's a comedy. "Bingeing" for me is about half a season per week, since I can't watch anything for much more than about two hours at a time (another reason to skip a lot of the recent movies with bloated running times).

i've worked a lot of 6 and a half day weeks. i am a bit pooped so i am taking a half day off today and binge watching it looks dark. i know it has to be as it is set in a part of alaska where the sun won't shine again for months but still i am not a fan of films that are all shadow and no substance. i hope this does not let me down but the fact there are only 6 episodes worries me. oh well. as mario says: let's-a-go! I felt it was mixed. They've never found a way to duplicate the feel of season 1, IMO. It does have some surprises and good performances, though. It's very heavy on the supernatural side. I wouldn't have wanted it to be anymore than 6 episodes, TBH. For me it was an up and down ride. Don't know which season it was but I loved the one where Mahershala Ali is older and recalling a case from years earlier. He now has increasing dementia so knowing which memories to trust is tricky. Stephen Dorff played his partner. Also was a fan of the first season.

The one with Ali I liked second best, with this last season right behind it. I didn't much care for season two with Colin Farrell, Vince Vaughan and Rachel MacAdams.

I stopped watching.
