papamihelOf course, what’s going on in State these days? They’re pushing Oslo-ism like hell after 30 years of Oslo’s utter and complete failure. It’s even dumber now than it was then.

Why is this war/conflict whatever you want to call it taking so long? The Gaza strip and Palestinian settlements aren't that big. I would think that a full war effort against Hamas terrorists shouldn't take years, right? Or am I just being naive? I can't cite statistics, but it seems to me that more often than not wars last a long time. I think I read somewhere that most of the time occupying forces often fail to overthrow the territories they invade.
Even on a smaller scale, think of cops arresting someone or prison guards walking into a small cell to subdue a violent inmate. It often takes many people. Someone who is more familiar with military/self tactics (and a better speaker) can explain it better than me, but it's really fucking hard to impose your will on someone. Check out this video. Something like 20-30 cops to bring down one man (armed with a machete):

Biden is talking about taking in Palestinian refugees. I don't have a problem with it, but I can't imagine they'd be happy about coming here. Of course they'd be happy. I don't believe there are many old families in Gaza or any... Well, maybe some Egyptians. In any case, most of their ancestors came here after the WWI here looking for a better life. It didn't work out. You offer them a better life in the US, why would they not go? bruh seriously? old families? You and the majority of Israelis are no different from the immigrants that came here between 1900-1950....you are all transplants with European ancestry living in an area with non-Europeans. They are probably much older and have deeper roots than the typical European-Israeli immigrant. As for bring Palestinians here, I am all for it provided it is orphaned children and elderly who have nobody to care for them and they must be taken in by relatives already here.

How many times have people pointed out here that the majority of Jews in Israel came from the nearby Arab lands.
The European Jews were mostly dead before Israel was founded. Many European Jews that were here had come in during the 1800s.
It was the Middle Eastern Jews who came from the Arab lands, more than anyone.
I thought you cared about people of color? Apparently not. You're racist all over the place.

First of all, you are forgetting millions of Jews of the Middle-Eastern and North-African descent. Not every Jew is "white". And it's not the same. Ours is a different culture - more (although not uniformly) individual. For Arabas family and clan are everything. It is the center of their reality. Why do you think other Arabs treat "palestinians" with disdain and some say they are not Arabs but Gypsies? Whatever they might say in English in front of the cameras, everyone in the region knows what's really happened here and who are the Muslim Arabs you call "palestinians".

I never said every Jew is white; I said that the population boom in Israel is mostly from immigrants who have roots in Europe, not in the Middle East. And whatever the Arab "clan" structure is, they probably have longer and deeper roots in that area than you and every other European that settled in the region. That's as absurd as a white South AFrican saying they have "deep roots" in the country when compared to a Zulu whose people were there long before any white man set foot on that soil.

How many times do you need to be told?
You're going on this as a racist attack against a country for your belief that it's a white country when it's not. The millions of Middle Eastern Jews here are not being outnumbered.

It's so weird - I've been saying for years that a lot of this in America is anti-white racism against Israel because the left has "ASSIGNED" Israel as a white country.
People said, "No, no, no."
It's true, though.
We see it here every day.

There are 200,000 or so American Jews living in Israel.
Israel has millions of Middle Eastern Jews here.
American Jews are never going to outnumber them.

That's as absurd as a white South AFrican saying they have "deep roots" in the country when compared to a Zulu whose people were there long before any white man set foot on that soil. Actually not. The Zulu invasion of the native Bushmen lands happened about a hundred years after the Europeans had arrived to Southern Africa.

I'm not sure that most people realize that you used to live in South Africa (after leaving the USSR, or the former one). :)

Hamas keeps hiding in their tunnels/schools/hospitals/daycares which makes for slow going. The last 2 Hamas battalions are in Rafah and once those battalions are wiped out the war will end and the next war will begin: Who is the overseer of Gaza? Should new elections be held? Should the UN take command? Should we listen to Ripley? thekindercarebear it's the only way to be sure. =/

Sorta goes against the narrative that Israel is just killing indiscriminately, huh?
If I had the ability, I'd give the Palestinians Canada and call it good. But then there would just be an argument about why the Israelis can't have Canada instead. No one outside Israel and Palestine has an answer for the troubles between them. Actually it is the world community that is the main obstacle to resolving the conflict. The endless condemnations of Israel tell the Palestinians, "Only Israel is at fault. We Palestinians are doing nothing wrong. Let us continue as we have been going. Revolution until victory!"

The Palestinian leadership believes it’s legal under International Law to murder Jewish civilians because of the “occupation”. This is for Fatah, Hamas, etc.
