Why you people bother with that Amy retard is a mystery. She's the result of fetal alcohol syndrome yet she's in every multiple page thread on the board. Her and Dracula should make babies. Which would be genetically human, as apart from the ones the board gutter lush and the board trannie pedophile would spawn.

16 pages in and one of you knuckleheads finally stumble upon the point of this topic. Lefties like to call Trump supporters a “cult” … apparently, because they wear red hats and other paraphernalia at Trump rallies. When they go home, they put those things away and carry on their normal lives. That is pretty weak sauce compared to the raging left-wing nut-balls who are upending their lives because Trump won the election. That is what a real cult looks like. Thank-you blacktothefuture, for bringing this back into focus. Well then, let's compare the two groups again, shall we? I'll call them "Women of the OP" and "MAGA". And set up the Cult Score. On the left: Women of the OP. On the right: MAGA. Women of the OP shave their heads. MAGA...I know nothing about their body hygiene, and I'd rather not know. But in a free country, anybody should adopt their hairstyle they want. However, it's unusual to shave one's head, so I'll be generous towards MAGA and set the Cult score to 1:0. Women of the OP wear blue bracelets. MAGA wear red hats. Nothing cultish about either; at least not more cultish than wearing garments from your favorite sports team. So the score stays 1:0. Women of the OP leave their husbands. MAGA believe the 2020 election was stolen. Evidence for the existence of abusive husbands: Plenty. Evidence for the 2020 election being stolen: Zero. Since believing in stuff without evidence is cultish behaviour, the Cult Score is now 1:1. Women of the OP takes vows of celibacy. MAGA storm the Capitol and commit suicide by cop. Vows of celibacy are harmless and a personal matter. Storming the capitol and committing suicide by cop... Definitely the acts of a harmful cult. This makes the score 1:2. So in the game "Who is more cultish?", MAGA wins by 2:1. Not that there was really a doubt among rational people. And I didn't even mention the voting behaviour. MAGA voted for a guy who has already shown that he's not great as a president. The USA was in worse shape in January 2021 than in January 2017. I don't know if Kamala Harris would have done a better job; but when you have a choice between someone who may or may not be a good president, and someone you know was a bad president, still picking the formerly bad president is not the rational choice in my opinion. She’s baaack … like a bad penny. At least come up with some new material. What makes behavior cultish isn't so much about what they do … it’s more about why they do it. … and their reasoning is considered odd and typically not shared by the general population. 77 million people voted for Trump.

"What makes behavior cultish isn't so much about what they do … it’s more about why they do it." Nonsense. When evaluating an action, the motivation is less important than the outcome. At least for someone with a consequentialist view on ethics, like me. Don't judge actions by their intentions. The saying "the road to Hell is paved with good intentions" exists for a reason. As does the saying "Actions speak louder than words". And when MAGA actions are more cultish in their outcome, then they deserve to be called cultish more than the women of your OP.

You continue to make no sense. A woman who shaves her head because her hair is falling out is not behaving in a cultish manner. A woman who shaves her head because she belongs to a group of like minded people who believe a deity demands it, is cultish. Same outcome, vastly different motivation. One is a nut-ball the other is a victim. … yet through the distorted lens of your “consequentialist view on ethics”, there is little difference between the two women because they both are bald. That might be the dumbest thing I’ve read in quite a while. Congrats. You’ve surpassed yourself!

Exactly. You seemed to get it. Unfortunately... That might be the dumbest thing I’ve read in quite a while. So you consider reality to be "the dumbest thing in quite a while". Unsurprising. When reality is a world in which Biden was rightfully elected in 2020. Or the Holocaust really did happen. Too bad for you that reality won't go away when you stop believing in it.

Ah … you think your twisted world view is “reality”. Isn’t it odd that something like the legal system does factor in motivation when determining if a crime has been committed. If you kill someone in self defense - no crime. If you kill someone while robbing them - serious crime. Same outcome, different motivation, different judgement. Weird how reality works, eh?

In the meantime, you really ought to see about having whatever that thing is stuck in your throat removed. Sounds potentially fatal.

If you kill someone in self defense - no crime. If you kill someone while robbing them - serious crime. Same outcome, different motivation, different judgement. Weird how reality works, eh? I was hoping you'd say something like this. When you kill someone in self-defence, you react to something that person did. When you kill someone in a robbery you initiated, you initiated the action that caused the person's death. So in the first case, the death is considered a consequence of an action initiated by the dead person; in the second case, it's the consequence of an action initiated by you. You can't punish a dead person, so in the first case, you walk free. Not so in the second case. But we don't even have to consider this tangent to show that you proved my point. Let's look at your sentence from a previous post again. Same outcome, vastly different motivation. One is a nut-ball the other is a victim. … yet through the distorted lens of your “consequentialist view on ethics”, there is little difference between the two women because they both are bald. The victims of alopecia could have chosen to wear a wig or hair implants. Then they would not have stood out too much. Yet, some women with alopecia made a conscious choice to go bald. And you have beautifully illustrated what happens to women who make a conscious choice to go bald: Somebody uses a picture of them, and posts it on discussion boards with a caption like "this is what a cult looks like". In this case, that somebody was you. And it didn't matter to you that the women's baldness in your OP picture was a consequence of alopecia or an election; because of their choice to go bald, you considered them fair game for shaming. So again: Thanks for proving me right.

We win. Trump lost the popular vote in a count of 49% to 51%, against. That's not a landslide nor a majority nor a 'popular mandate'. That's Electoral College electors doing their usual corrupt thang, you know, that thang you accused them of back in 2020. The Reps picked up 3 seats in the House; that's not an 'overwhelming majority'. Keep whining, Pissy White Dude. 2024 election Nov. 21, 2024
