You're talking about the Electoral College tally. Which was a landslide of a different sort. Illinois, New York, and California can't rule the entire country. First time the GOP won this many electoral votes in over 1/3 of a century. He also got the highest minority vote for a GOP in decades and beyond. That being said...the substantial electoral win was still not a popular vote landslide. It was impressive but nothing like Reagan or even Obama. To this end, it has to be recognized the election will not bridge this polarized nation. |
