bartlesby The reply button on Twitter (on my laptop) has disappeared. Any idea why? It can still tweet but there's not reply button. I can still reply using my phone though.

Haven't used twitter, but I would think a restriction has been set on your account based on your IP address so you can't respond to people. Have you been saying contentious things (stuff that would make a lefty call The Guardian and cry)?

And another thing. Whenever I tell people (repeatedly) to go fuck a donkey's ham slot, I get these temporary 12 hour bans that say only my followers can see my tweets. And YET, people (who are not following me) are still liking my tweets during this period This thing:  Where is that bartlesby cunt when we need him? We should sack him. Is anyone else tech savvy? |

Is anyone else tech savvy? It is not tech savviness that is required here; it is empathy with the meandering minds of the twitter folk who create the safe environment alluded to in the message. A similar thing happens with LinkedIn - I set my account to completely hidden - the setting says no-one can see it all all, not even contacts - and I still get message from recruiters. US companies are useless at this kind of thing. We need British versions like the tube, where no-one talks to each other. Much better. |

Not entirely solved but I have discovered that if I click the speech bubble of tweets I can reply to them on the laptop.
Still not sure why the big blue reply button vanished though.
