India $3.50 favourites to win the 2023 WC at home. England $4, Australia $5 and Pakistan some value at $7.50.

England is the favourite to win 2023 world cup. Had rightly predicted them for 2019 and once again I predict them. The thing is that they have so many batsman who can get going from ball 1. Australia, India are next in line and Pakistan then.

Anyways - Day 1 of the Test between the 2 green teams. And no, Australia nor South Africa nor even Pakistan are having a run.
It’s Ireland v Bangladesh in Mirpur. Only the solitary Test.
6 debutants for the Irish - even better that some of them are actually Irish.
Even more remarkable is Ben White, who makes his first class debut in a Test Match.
Ireland 214 all out, Bangladesh 34/2 in reply Stumps Day 1.
In the World Cup Qualifier Playoff - Namibia look like getting it done against Canada (CAN 84/5 off 22 chasing 268); Likewise USA over Jersey (JER 69/6 off 22 chasing 231).

WCL is World Cricket League, which has various divisions and tournaments outside of the 12 Test nations, but sometimes they include Ireland. League 2 only just finished. It featured 7 teams playing 36 ODIs each. In order it finished : 1. Scotland 🏴 2. Oman 🇴🇲 3. Nepal 🇳🇵 4. Namibia 🇳🇦 5. USA 🇺🇸 6. UAE 🇦🇪 7. PNG 🇵🇬 Challenge league featured 12 teams playing 15 games each. In ranking order : Canada 🇨🇦 (21), Hong Kong 🇭🇰 (22), Singapore 🇸🇬 (23), Kenya 🇰🇪 (24), Denmark 🇩🇰 (25), Uganda 🇺🇬 (26), Malaysia 🇲🇾 (27), Jersey 🇯🇪 (28), Vanuatu 🇻🇺 (29), Bermuda 🇧🇲 (30), Qatar 🇶🇦 (31), Italy 🇮🇹 (32). Canada play PNG, and need a win, a UAE loss, and a massive swing in NRR to surpass Namibia. Namibia are on 6 pts, so are UAE but Namibia has the superior NRR. USA and Namibia have played all their games. After this - the World Cup Qualifier. So currently the World Cup in 2023 looks like this : Host (automatically qualified) India 🇮🇳 Qualified via Super League Top 7 : 1. New Zealand 🇳🇿 (175pts) 2. England 🏴 🏴 (155) 3. Well I don't have any questions about Cricket, per se, but I can think of a couple about Broadchurch since you mentioned it. What regeneration cycle was Mr. Broadchurch on during this show? |
