Wow! This is some serious stuff, right here. I will think twice before facing a bowler like this.

17/17 - rather easy if you know the first player to get to 100. in the actual Test on today - England suck. All out 218 batting first after winning the toss. India 124/1 and doing it comfortably.

Kiwis shitting the bed again. Williamson fails against Australia yet again. Whatever his record may say, he's no Martin Crowe. This isn't on in the ship. Missing nothing. Looks like England are getting belted too.

England lose by an innings. Utter shite.
India wins series 4-1.
Anderson bagged his 700th test wicket.

Australia pull a win out of their arse chasing down 277 to win by 3 wickets and win the series 2-0.
Carey the star - 98* and 10 catches - with Pat Cummins once again hitting the winning runs

Looks like a bit of a choke job from NZ tbh. If you have your opposition 5-80 chasing 270 odd at home you need to find your way home from there. I have a low opinion of Carey's batting and aren't sure how you let him score 98 but I won't bash what i didn't see.

And speaking of changing the subject: the first half of the Storm v Panthers game was in the Grand Final for the worst 40 minutes of Rugby League ever played. I went upstairs to watch the Carlton game on the open deck instead and the bastards won!

How's this for a cricket topic? Tasmania have completely shit the bed in the last round of the Sheffield Sheild and all but handed WA a third straight title by losing to lowly SA in their final group game. Instead of having a home final they now have to go to Perth and defeat the 2x defending champions.

Not much in the way of Australian cricket until the t20 world cup in June. I guess there is the IPL. And the PSL!

Hmm. Utter brilliance from WA. Conversely utter garbage from Tasmania. I was actually in Tassie when that shitfest was happening. Fortunately for the cricketers most of the state's attention was on an even bigger shitfest: the state election.
I know that some purists refer to all T20 cricket as "slogathons" but in the IPL last night it would be difficult to see it any other way. Sunrisers bat first and score 277, Mumbai respond with 246. Pandya probably the difference taking 20 balls over his 24. That's pedestrian at the best of times, let alone when the two teams are rolicking along at 13 an over on average.

Aggers is gonners. www.theguardian.com/sport/2024/apr/03/jonathan-agnew-steps-down-as-bbc-cricket-correspondent-after-33-yearsJonathan Agnew is to step down from the role of chief cricket correspondent at the BBC at the end of this summer after 33 years in the post, but the voice of cricket is not about to be silenced: he has signed a new four-year contract to present Test Match Special and will “continue to be a regular voice across BBC programmes". “I am really delighted that I shall continue to present Test Match Special for the next four years,” Agnew said. “It is a unique programme of which I am immensely proud, and means so much to so many people. However, this does seem the right time for me to step back from my role as BBC cricket correspondent. This summer, my 34th in the post, will be my last. In a quickly changing cricket landscape it is time for fresh legs to cover the daily duties, leaving me to focus entirely on TMS.”
