That's not a bad read. Much better than the previous one.

Australia got into a dominant position against England but then lost 7-47 in their last 7 overs. England's batting line up isn't particularly frightening so still every chance Australia will defend 179.

As I said, this England batting line up really is garbage. Australia always bowl well, but they only 2 in their top 5 that anyone knows (Salt and Livingstone) and neither of them are that good IMO. Then the all rounders. Sam Curran is not a 6, Jamie Overton is certainly not a 7. Straight back to piss-poor to mediocrity for England's white ball stuff. With red ball cricket ever shrinking not looking good for cricket in the UK long term.

Australia win by 28. Enjoy being shit again England! Big question now is can they be more competitive than Scotland in their recent series?

Final Eng-Aus T20 delayed by rain.
Of course it’s the one the BBC were going to show live.

Ashwin saves India from 6-144 against Bangladesh with a hundred. Bangas then rolled for sub 200. India in charge. Sri Lanka on top of NZ in Galle, 200+ ahead with 6 wickets in hand.

England 2-0 down now in the 5 match ODI series against Australia.
I can envisage a whitewash.

While I don't care at all about ODI cricket, Australia bringing up a record winning streak, with 9 of the 14 consecutive coming in the (one of the very worst) World Cups is a big deal even if the previous record was set in 2023 by Sri Lanka (a team who will not go down in history).
Anyway the streak be over. After fighting off a billion enemies in the World Cup Final, an unassailable situation against Afghanistan, a really shitty chase against South Africa in the WC semi all it eventually took to beat them was one man: my boy Harry Brook.

When winning streaks end they really end! England frogstomp Australia by 186 runs at Lord's. Livingstone hit Starc's last over for 28! Very rare to see Starc buckle under pressure but geez he bowled some affable stuff in the last 3 or 4 balls...

NZ thrash India in the WT20. Bit of an upset that. The real question in all these women's tournaments is whether anyone can seriously challenge Australia. Not sure if NZ are on the list of teams who can. England and India are further along then the "rest of the rest" so far as development and engagement. What the Saffer women have done with very little to work with is, frankly, extraordinary.
