I saw "Un Divan à Tunis" when it came out. I remember liking it.

I've not watched it yet, but coming soon to a TV in my living room as early as tomorrow night, it's Nostalghia. I've perused my library a million times and somehow missed this one. It was there among the Italian films. Don't know why, but the moment I saw it, I couldn't believe it. So I looked at it to be sure it was what I thought it was and promptly checked it out. Tomorrow night it'll be my reward for making it through my first semester.

I'm counting this. To me this was a world cinema offering. I'm not American anyway.

Notre-Dame Brûle (Notre-Dame on Fire), Jean-Jacques Annaud’s clinical re-creation of the battle to control the fire that partially destroyed the Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris in 2019. On Amazon Prime. Recommended if the subject matter is of interest.

I am sure they took some liberties for dramatic purposes, but it is supposed to be fairly faithful to the real events.

Hodejegerne (Headhunters) / Morten Tyldum (2011). Superb, suspenseful Norwegian crime thriller. This is an amazing plot where you really have to stay alert to keep up with the twists. There is a clever ending that ties things up and one great bit of misdirection that fooled me completely.
