Headhunters (Morten Tyldum, 2011) I watched this on the strength of the review that mikef6 gave a week ago, and it didn't disappoint. Not so much a film with twists, but rather one that suddenly lurches into directions that are completely different to what's expected. Immense fun. Glad you liked it. the plot "lurches" into a new direction is a good description.

I read about that. I am not sure what to think. One account that I read said that what the student made was a documentary about the true event that inspired the film. If that is true, it my be questionable to make a fictional movie about the same event without acknowledging the student’s contribution, but I don’t think it qualifies as plagiarism. The student should have been credited somewhere though. Unfortunately it seemed to be true. He would hold workshops with upcoming film-makers, and 1-2 others have also said their ideas/pitches were hijacked by him. Also Iranian star actress Taraneh Alidoosti who worked with him a lot before somewhat eluded to their being some truth. With that being said I liked A hero, and the lead actor (Amir Jadidi) was really good in it.

The Oath [Ghasam] (Dir. Mohsen Tabanandeh) via YouTube - honar aval) - Starring Mahnaz Afshar, Hassan Pourshirazi, Saeed Aghakhani, 6.3 Tabandeh’s starking portrayal of a recently killed woman, Rezvan’s family of 36 traveling to take oath against her accused husband, Bahman. Tough subject matter, some very good moments, but overall, the script just was a bit lackluster and left me wanting a bit more. 7/10 www.imdb.com/title/tt9817044/

Rebels of the Neon God (Dir. Tsai Ming-Liang ) via Mubi - 7.5 Pretty awesome film from Tsai Ming-Liang, his debut feature in this story about a young adult man defying his parents and dropping out from local gig to move to downtown Taipei. A really impressively done rendition of life and rebellious nature of youth. 9/10 www.imdb.com/title/tt0103935/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0_tt_8_nm_0_q_rebels%2520of%2520

Rebels is great, but it's probably my least favorite of his features.
