Still keep telling yourself the lie that Islam is peace.

Do you know how many times I have heard,"...but Muslims are so peaceful"?

Do you know how many times I have heard,"...but Muslims are so peaceful"? It’s called sarcasm.

Do you know how many times I have heard,"...but Muslims are so peaceful"? I've never heard it, nor thought it. Perhaps you are hearing a strange echo in your head.

No one thinks Islam is peace. No more than Christianity is. Yes, more. Christianity is now benign. Islam is not.

No more than Christianity is. Yes, more. Christianity is now benign. Islam is not. Not in the USA. You don't have the variety that got bred over here. Folks were barely out of the Late Medieval period and it never got beyond that and we still have de facto witch-hunters active. Never turn your back on a snake.

They ride into villages and slaughter all of the locals? Please, can we deal with reality?

The Church of England and most European denominations may as well be atheists. Most US Christian denominations are moribund too, so yeah, not much a problem now. The RCC around the world is weak. But there is a huge and very powerful set of Fundamentalist Christians who are already pushing their religion onto people. When Right Wing White Christians can trespass in the name of God to terrorize "pagans" and the fundies on this board back up that behavior as if that group of benign artists were hammering nails into Jesus' flesh, then more violence is not far away. I don't know why you think the number of terrorists or terror cells that exist matter in forming an opinion. That you could list some Christian ones means Christianity can produce it. It's just a matter of the preachers motiving the followers into violent action. And they speak with the voice of God.

Why is it that those who want to commit religious terror acts seem to find more appeal in Islam than in Christianity, at least in the modern times? There are many who argue that the Bible is really much more violent than the Qur'an.

Why is it that those who want to commit religious terror acts seem to find more appeal in Islam than in Christianity, at least in the modern times? There are many who argue that the Bible is really much more violent than the Qur'an. Because Islam straight up says the Koran is the Voice of Allah speaking to mankind in the past, present, and future and if they don't obey it, they will burn for all eternity in Hell. Therefore they are afraid to not be either terrorists or in support of it. Between blowing up a school and going to a very horrific Hell, which would you opt for? Be a nice guy and lose Heaven or don't kill the kids and burn in Hell? Christianity does not have a magic formula that Islam doesn't that turns Christians into instantly gentle, loving people.

This is true now and historically. You can jump onto this thread with whataboutism all you like, but the facts don't really care.
