So has anyone else watched this series? Or is this thread is just going be another derailed circle here between Sam and whoever he decides to dance with this time? Not yet, I'm going to binge on the weekend.

Sorry dude, but you're just plain wrong. Your average comicbook geek knows of Luke Cage and Moonknight. They'll have childhood memories of reading about those characters prior to the internet. And they'll normally know of Jessica Jones because of her relationship with Luke Cage. But even hardcore comicbook fans would barely know Echo. That's the kind of character you'd really need to search on Google just to figure out who she is because you wouldn't be able to describe her purely from memory. Not really, no. Those same people barely knew about Baron Zemo when Civil War came out in 2016 and assumed he was a made up villain for the movie. They didn't know who JJ and LC were. Unless they had a Baron Zemo Marvel Legend (including the maskless variant) or had seen the Avengers cartoon (is it Earth’s Mightiest Heroes?) which was released years before CA:CW. People knew Baron Zemo. They don’t know Echo.

You do realize that Luke Cage, Moonknight and Jessica Jones all had their own comicbook series right? Something that Echo didn't have. You're delusional if you consider those 3 just as obscure as someone like Echo. So did the Guardians, for much longer. Didn't stop people from saying they were Z-Listers who no one wanted to see. True, the Guardians of the Galaxy were rather obscure.

People knew Baron Zemo. They don’t know Echo. Which shows that even if the character is portrayed earlier they can still be super obscure and unknown, because the Guardians were in the Avengers cartoon too and yet most didn't know who they were when the movie was announced.
So Echo is in the same boat, which as history has shown doesn't not instantly mean "Bad".

Well I'm in episode 3... but it seems like I'm the only one who's watched it so far judging by the comments. Heck I'm not sure anyone here has even watched What If S2.

Drax was a regular sparring partner for guys like Adam Warlock or Silver Surfer. Anyone who followed Adam Warlock would have been familiar with Drax. Gamora was Thanos' most famous daughter and was pretty much the cosmic equivalent of Elektra. You don't get the title of "Most dangerous woman in the universe" without Marvel putting a bit of effort into showcasing the character. Both of them were also core members of the Infinity Watch which had its own comic run. Sure they weren't as popular as guys like Thor or Ironman, but they certainly weren't as obscure as Agatha Harkness or Echo. And unlike Echo or Agatha Harkness, both Drax and Gamora have made a number of appearances in Marvel cartoons and computer games.

Isn’t it interesting that they’re now basically doing what Netflix did to begin with? Darker shows with little to no connection to the movies.

Also, don't ever like Ackbar's garbage replies to someone you want to have a conversation with. He's the internet version of an STD. Just a bit of advice. It instantly ruins your credibility when you find that failed abortion funny.

Rocket Raccoon was the first one to make it into a Marvel vs Capcom game before the movie was even made.
So I'd say he was probably more known to the general public than the other members.
I mean honestly outside of comic book readers, who else was familiar with Guardians of the Galaxy?.

With this kind of "Not important enough!" thinking, the MCU wouldn't exist in the first place.

Even Thor or Ironman were not as popular as Spiderman before their movies came out. If you're bringing up Spiderman in this discussion then I don't think you understand the context of the discussion. The discussion here is comparing C-D tier characters like Drax and Gamora to F tier characters like Echo and Agatha. Nobody is comparing them to an A-list character like Spiderman. As for liking responses, I like responses based on what they say, not based on who they're from. That you even had to comment about it makes you look extremely insecure.
