Never understood the appeal. It's a pretty mediocre movie. Michael Wincott was good in it though but not exceptional. If you were in high school in 1994 you would love it.

I was 24 when I saw it and I wasn't impressed. I re-watched it a couple of years ago prompted, I think, by a conversation on this forum. I also think the time for a remake has passed - the peak of the gothic culture and music was about 20 years ago.

If you don't like it it's because you are either a boomer or a millenial. But I forgive you. The Crow is for goth girls and guys who paint their fingernails. Pffffft The Crow rocks.

I would be around a decade older than you, then, & I have loved the film since I saw it in the theater. It's a tale of redemption. The comic book it is based on had several lead characters as in one story, then another story, etc. The unifier is the Crow as the spirit guide of each of the heroes. Stone Temple Pilots weren't goth. They were a San Diego grunge band.

But stylistically it just felt like a cheap theatre production. And it was very pretentious. And, with respect, the absolute majority of the 90s rock was light-weight garbage. Pretty much almost all of grunge.

Ol boy is missing an ab muscle….how do you have a five pack???? Jail-house stabbing? He has shitty, jail-house tattoos all over him. So maybe going back to the comic? They have quite a thing to overcome with Brandon Lee so I could see going in the opposite direction. Though that 3rd picture reminds me more of the kid in Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome.

The original Crow movie was just meh.
I never understood why some people really love it.

And looking like the abysmal Jared Leto's Joker version makes it absoutely pathetic.

When Harry Met Sally. OK. Seen it once. Ferris Bueller. Love it Forrest Gump. Can't say I ever made it through the entire movie. Not a fan. Crows are adorable. Especially when they run. I find new music all the time. I have always found new music to like. To me when someone starts viewing stuff as "the classics", one is old. Only listening to an era one liked when young. Like time has passed one by

Crows are adorable. Especially when they run. Crows are the servants of All-Father They let me feed small birds at my apartment, but they raised a fuss over my putting peanuts out for crows. So I throw peanuts out at various parking lots when I go shopping. Some crows are cautious, waiting for me to leave. Casually saunter over to check it out like a cat pretending not to care. Others are just plain hungry & run over to grab as many peanuts as they can shove into their little beaks. They seem to prefer the peanuts in the shells to unshelled.

Here are some excerpts from the source material. Also, Ernie Hudson cameo in the reboot or GTFO.

The paleness was that he was a corpse. Don't know Bauhaus, but Skarsgård does have more of an Iggy Pop bod. But he's always going to send out

Very cool birds, have a symbiotic relationship with wolves. There's a harmonious order to Terra that humans just can't grasp or become a part of. www.adirondackalmanack.com/2020/04/ravens-crows-and-wolves-a-harmonious-group.html

Why all the shitty jailhouse ink? How many times has this guy been in the joint? With "Lullabye" tattoed on his face, no-less 🤨 And the jacket, from what I'm seeing, looks like something a school ahooter would wear. But to be fair, we aren't getting that great a look at it. Bill S. can wear black, and he can wear a long coat, quite effectively. And he wore it effectively as the undead once already. He just stole all the air out of the room as Roman Godfrey.
