You obviously did not go to school with me.
Because? You're nobody's victim?
We are talking about what's been pushed into schools in the last 30 years or so
I'm your victim, apparently.

The Golden Rule is biggest fail ever. As big of a fail as you spending hours and hours posting anti-Trump bullshit then him winning anyway? I don't think so. You are the king of failures. Actually, you lost a long, long time ago or you wouldn’t be putting your blind faith in a liar as your only one who can save you.

Jordan Peterson discussed this.
Seems like a lot of people like to mock and deride those who are more successful than themselves.

Religion is the storehouse of something better understood as "tradition."Only after demonizing the storehouse of tradition it replaces.
Are you one to talk about demonizing? In your glass house there?
Christians have murder millions of Jews because they couldn’t accept the new religious tradition that Jesus the Jew is the rather non-Jewish Messiah, as well as God himself. They murdered thousands of witches, who continued to practice their indigenous paganism. Catholics have murdered Protestants and versi vica all because they were doing Christianity wrong.

It's an interesting thing to see older people 'find religion', imo Especially someone like him.
But do you hold that against people if they do?
IIRC, the majority of scientists responded that they believed in 'something more' ........though, I'm not certain how the question was phrased.

The Golden Rule is biggest fail ever. I don't think so. I believe the Golden Rule is a good guideline. Maybe the Silver Rule is more practical: Do not do unto others what you do not want to be done upon you. But it's true that most ethical systems have some variation of the Golden Rule or Silver Rule. Like Wicca, which says: As long as you harm nobody, do as you will. It’s a very good guideline, aka the Categorical Imperative, it’s just no one really believes in it or practices it. Especially religious people. Keep in mind, “religio” means to regiment and Christianity itself was adopted and codified by the Roman state as a means of unifying the crumbling empire in order to keep the food flowing into the cities.

But do you hold that against people if they do? [/div][/quote] For starters, he keeps bringing the Scripture in almost every conversation. It's annoying. And also I really liked his earlier "secular" view of God as an ability to perceive the continuation of human civilization and culture outside of the frame of one's own existence. I found this concept aesthetically appealing.

Yeah, just throwing down Bible passages as if it proves something is a bit annoying.
I remember when I first stumbled upon Jordan and immediately got the impression that his combination of high IQ and caring so damn much about people in general was going to be a major burden upon his psyche.
I don't know what pushed him the way he's now gone, but maybe he felt the need for some comfort in his life, too?

Seems like a lot of people like to mock and deride those who are more successful than themselves. Yeah, like some right-wingers do with Taylor Swift, who is more successful than Jordan Peterson.

I don’t know if he’s sincere or not, though I think he’s a “bells and smells” elitist type who doesn’t believe in Jesus the same way he wants the unwashed masses to believe. Peterson has some fucked up ideas…which is probably his attraction to the Joe Rogan-heads.
