I find it hard to believe that the French authorities cannot do more to stop them. Very sad. I do struggle with why people would risk their lives though to get from France to England. I know language and relatives come into play and we should be allowing anyone who wants to to apply from outside the country, maybe better information to dispel the myth that they get better "benefits" being here (which isn't true, other European destinations provide far better benefits if that's all people are wanting)
Still if the delightful Braverman gets her way she can send them out to Rwanda before they dry off in future.

This tragedy is not something I should make light of, but I do wonder why anyone would want to swap La Belle France for rainy old Britain. It could be that for all our moaning and groaning, British bureaucracy is a lot less intrusive than that of the French, which means that it is a lot easier to disappear in the UK than in oh la la land. That is why I think the immigrants should be sent to Scotland. Edinburgh Council is so incompetent that it would not know the illegals had arrived.
