Well unless you're are suggesting that Turkey is actively prosecuting Afghans or Syrians, people that try to reach Western Europe from Turkey, are not genuine asylum seekers. Just economic migrants. I don't really get where you are coming from. The top 4 nationalities arriving in the UK are Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq and Iran (there are technically wars in 2 of those countires and the other 2 have harsh regimes of persecution). So travelling West they would arrive in Turkey first. Turkey hosts millions of assylum seekers and has been the country with the most incoming refugees for the past 9 years in a row.
All the data is freely available here:
How many nations do you have to pass through to get to Turkey from the UK? Minimum of 6

How many people that have suffered should the UK accept? 1,000,000? 10,000,000? 100,000,000? There are billions of people suffering in the World, millions right here. We can't continue to take in huge numbers of people. Our infrastructure and services cannot cope. As many as possible.
Our infrastructure and services can't cope, because of the people running the place, not because of immigration.
Other countries take on far more than the UK.
No, thats absolute bullshit. Our services rely on public money. You bring 1m refugees in, who is paying for that? How does the NHS cope? The reality you lot don't want to accept is that we can't do it. The money isn't there and I'll be fucked if I'm paying more in tax. We don't have enough houses, our road network cannot cope, every public service is stretched, from the NHS to schools to the police. The "Muh Tories" argument doesn't hold up. And now you'll say "let them work" great, increase competition for the poorest UK Citizens and deflate wages by devaluing labour. All sounds fantastic and worth it so you can feel good about yourself.

How many nations do you have to pass through to get to Turkey from the UK? Minimum of 6 So? So why pass through 6 safe nations?

I'm saying that a people risking their lives trying to reach the UK from France are not being prosecuted or escaping war and only have themselves to blame if they drown in the Channel. like the dead child in Ash's photo ? Well I'm not blaming the child in that case. His father who decided to take him on a dangerous journey on the other hand...

Emily Jones was murdered by one of your boat scroungers. She was 7. Is that your fault? You want these people here, so how much responsibly are you prepared to accept for the consequences of what you support?

So why pass through 6 safe nations? Because they have family in the UK. Or there's already a community of the same nation in the UK. You know this. It's been pointed out to you many times.
Some go to Iceland. for goodness sake. Iceland took in 18,000 immigrants last year. The population of Iceland is 327,000.
People claim assylum in many countries. Unfortunately in the UK, we have a right wing government intent on creating division around the subject via intentional incompetence for their own political gain. And it looks to me like you've been duped by them.

I'm saying that a people risking their lives trying to reach the UK from France are not being prosecuted or escaping war and only have themselves to blame if they drown in the Channel. Do you mean persecuted? Yes, they are. My wife's a paediatric nurse. She met a woman who was just rocking back and forth on a chair last week. She's recently claimed assylum in the UK (as she has family here) from Sudan, where she was raped and her two children were beheaded infront of her.
I expect you think she's just lying right? Or that I'm lying? Or that it's all a pack of lies and she's after some benefits right?
The world has gone insane. The human species is largely incapable of compassion anymore. It's devastating.
Yes, I meant persecuted. Sry. If the person arriving in the UK came directly from Sudan, sure. If that person came from France, then no. That person is not being persecuted or escaping war because last time I checked, France is not at war nor does persecutes people from Sudan.

The money isn't there because the tories gave it to their mates for PPE in the pandemic and taxpayers money goes on things like Boris Johnson's personal defence lawyers.
You've been duped.

Or they are not a genuine refugee? Is that really what you are saying?

Well that's usually how it works for everyone else when people want to move from a country to another.

SO you're saying that our public services were fine until the pandemic? That the £12b of PPE is what broke us as a nation? I suppose the Labour PFI shite was the fault of the Tories as well?

Well that's usually how it works for everyone else when people want to move from a country to another. The boat scroungers are smuggling in drugs. Thats how they are paying the cost of the journey to the criminal gangs.

No, they've been in steady decline ever since the Tories decided it was time for austerity and stopped spending so much money on them. Adding an additional 1/67th of the population to the UK is a drop in the ocean in terms of public service pressures compared to what has been done in terms of decision making by the Tories.
But as I say, your mind has been brainwashed by the likes of the racists in the Daily Mail.
