They historically suck at Olympics. To be fair to India they're historically fixated on one sport. For about a hundred years it was Hockey (or field hockey as Americans call it) which they absolutely dominated at the first 20 or so Olympics. For the last 40 years it's been cricket which will be an Olympic sport at LA. They have little interest in anything else and certainly no infrastructure to identify and nurture talent outside hockey and cricket.

Even then, outside of hockey they have been historically bad at the Olympics. One sport doesn't really excuse it. Indians generally have never been known for athletic prowess. Genetics.

I'm already feeling post-Olympics withdrawl. Because of the pandemic, we got the Olympics in 3 years.
2028 is such a long wait.

All of the idiots on ESPN's "Get Up" are agreeing with Greenberg saying Steph's 3 was "The most memorable shot of all time."
Ridiculous. The U.S. would have been just fine up 6 with AD in perfect position for the rebound and 35 seconds on the clock. France would have been fouling, and the U.S. would have just taken a few more seconds to put the game away.
They're including his other shots, as well, when making their case. That's not how it works.

I’ve a funny feeling the French ladies will win basketball gold and condign you to a second place finish in the medal table. If that happens I will sell Harry Skywalker to Gypsies. OfUnknownOrigins, I'm gonna sell YOU to all your Gipsie Family. You are a Gipsie drug lord. LOL!

Tom Cruise carrying the Olympics Flag to Los Angeles in Missio Impossible style was the highest point of this ceremony!
And of course... the SJW material was the lowest point of this ceremony.

The Netherlands did good, we got a record in gold this olympics. It was great to see Hassan get her medal during the closing ceremony.

Curry's 3's (PLURAL) Which was most impactful? 2:48 from up 3 to up 6 (France was never closer than 6 after this, but lots of time left. 1:53 from up 6 to up 9 1:14 from up 6 to up 9 0:35 from up 6 to up 9 Before all this 4:32 missed a 3 up 8 3:37 turnover up 6 3:16 missed a 2 up 5

I agree with the general principle of reducing the number of events. I find it especially aggravating that some sports give out tons of medals for what is essentially the same thing. I take exception to his suggestion of getting rid of volleyball and keeping only beach volleyball. I hope that doesn’t happen before Tegucigalpa 2064.

Gotta say I find both versions of volleyball rather dull. Team sports should just be 86ed from the games.
