This Indycar race is a joke. Americans love their yellow flag racing. Nascar last week they did about 30 laps in a row behind the safety car before stopping the race for over an hour because some lights went out on a corner

Dixon wins from 11th on the grid after also getting a hefty penalty early in the race. Way too many cautions for mine. Usually love Laguna Seca too.

Martin won the Grand Prix ahead of Bezecchi and Bagnaia to shave Pecco's lead to 32. In the SBK Toprak won the sprint race. The 19 lapper was wild Redding (BMW), Bautista (Ducati) and Rea (Kawasaki) all taking out their team mates. Bautista won Race Two to leave with a 57 point lead. He looked like he was going to to do a Rubiales with Ducati's rather fetching hospitality co-ordinator but it was tongue in cheek with their lips not touching.

MotoGP has tightened right up following another Pecco crash. His lead over Martin, at one stage 66, is now just 3 points. Martin has won 2 Grand Prix and 2 sprints in a row. The Japan race was called off with full points awarded as 12 of the 24 laps were completed.

Alvaro Bautista officially WorldSBK Champion after winning Race One of the final round in Spain. Back to back titles for the 38yo.
Just a 10 lap Superpole and Race 2 left in season 2023.

In the MotoGP Johann Zarco.won an all timer at Phillip Island. Martin continues to dominate the sprints but finds a way to drop points to Pecco on race days. Bagnaia still has a 27 point lead.

Martin wins a 3 way classic in Thailand and again closes within 13 points of Pecco in the title race. Just holding off Binder who was then demoted to 3rd for track limits.

A disappointing end in the WorldSBK. Toprak stripped of a win due to track limits on the very last corner. Bautista wins. 6x World Champion Jonathan Rea's time at Kawasaki ended with him outside the points after crashing out of the lead on the 5th lap.

Pecco Bagnaia wins the MotoGP World Championship after Jorge Martin crashed out of the final race. Pecco actually won the Valencia Grand Prix as well. First time in about 30 years there was no back to back race winner. It was Marc Marquez's final race for Honda, a partnership that produced 6 World Championships.
Brodie Kostecki won the Australian Supercars Championship after NASCAR bound Shane Van Gisburgen crashed out of the penultimate race. A giant killing win for Erebus who broke the stranglehold Team 888 and Penske have had on the competition for the last decade.

Lost interest after the first few races. IndyCar was a runsway too. Good thing the MotoGP was tight along with a smaller team winning the Australian Super Cars. First time winner in Nascar too. Kept the year interesting.
