We had one of these on the old board and this was a massive weekend for Motor Sport with F1 and MotoGP, we also had the Australian Supercars. Today we have IndyCar and Nascar.
The Australian Grand Prix had 3 red flags and was won by the pole sitter.
The MotoGP sprint race was superb with KTM and Yamaha seemingly working together to try and deny Ducati. Main race was on a wet track.

I missed most of the racing this weekend, I like my sleep. But because of all the red flags I eventually saw like half the F1 race. But I missed every feeder category.

Colapinto won the F3 but was disqualified after the race making zak O'Sullivan the winner. Dennis Hauger won the F2. There were a shit load of crashes in all three classes and the 4 Supercar races. Supercar probably had more yellow laps than green. Sprint races at least a third would have been yellow.

I just saw the highlights of the Indycar race, lots of crashes at the end.

I just saw the highlights of the Indycar race, lots of crashes at the end. After being unusually clean for the first 70%. Not going to say Newgarden didn't deserve to win, buy Pato has been desperately unlucky twice.

My favourite Nascar race of the year yesterday: the Bristol Dirt Race. Christopher Bell won after dominating the final stage. The first two stages it was all Kyle Larsson, Austin Dillon and Kyle Busch all of whom suffered mechanical problems or accidents in the last 50 laps and scored 0 final stage points.

Tremendous weekend of racing in Texas in the MotoGP. For a change, the sprint race was the predictable one with Pecco winning emphatically.
The Moto3 was an enthralling battle between Sakari and Masia for most before the former crashed out, leaving KTM's Ivan Ortala, who had fallen to the back of the field on lap one after narrowly avoiding an accident on the second corner, to pick up the crumbs and duel with Moirero for the win. he won the battle and Masia ended up 2nd.
Moto2 was a battle between Acosta and Arbolina. The latter leading much of the race only for Pedro to catch him on the last lap. So KTM sweeped the feeder groups.
And then the big race was absolute carnage. Espargaro crashed out of 7th. Jack Miller crashed out of 3rd and Pecco crashed while leading. HCR Honda's Alex Rins then ran away with the race to give his team their first win in 5 years. VR46 Ducati's Luca Marini finished second with Fabio 3rd.
VR 46's Marco Bezzechi is your championship leader after 3 rounds, 11 points clear of defending champion Pecco who has only finished one of the three Grand Prix races with both DNFs self inflicted.

I watched the Indycar race yesterday. It was pretty nice. Veekay is having a crap season so far.

I watched the Indycar race yesterday. It was pretty nice. Veekay is having a crap season so far. Not the best race though I do love the Long Beach setting. Happy for Kirkwood as he had a rough start to his career last year. Power and McLaughlin accumulating points but need to start racking up some podiums if they want to seriously challenge this year. in the Nascar Kyle Larsson won the short track race at Martinsvillle, his second win of the season ahead of defending champion Joey Logano.

World SBK had their Dutch round. It was another dominant weekend for Alvaro Bautista on his Ducati winning all 3 races. Good weekend for Yamaha too with 4 podiums, 3 for Toprak, 1 for Locatelli, which sees them only 6 points adrift in the teams championship. Alvaro 56 ahead in the rider's championship having won 8 out of 9 races.
In the Nascar Kyle Busch won Talledega, pinching it from Bubba Wallace, after opting to stay out in spite of his pit crew telling him he'd run out of fuel. The gamble paid off after Wallace crashed, bringing out a caution which enabled him to coast to the line before running out of fuel on his victory lap.

That F2 safetycar restart was real amateur hour. Six drivers out in the first turn.

Daruvala was more or less an innocent bystander. Everyone else: amateur hour really says it.
In the MotoGP KTM's Brad Binder picked up his second sprint race win of the season from Pecco with his KTM team mate Jack Miller finishing 3rd. Race was red flagged on the first lap. Fabio the big loser from the restart, starting 16th, he'd moved into 8th on the original lap but finished out of the points. Aleix Espargaro had a disastrous race, crashing out of both from pole.

F1 was a bit boring today.
Good drive by Perez.
Weird pit stop call for Verstappen, you know a safetycar is coming.
Good to see Leclerc on the podium again. And what the fuck was that at the end in the pitlane with Ocon.
