It's crazy that a bridge could collapse like that. It looks flimsy in the photo but unless ships are getting heavier you'd think bridges would be designed to withstand this type of event.

I've been across the Key a few times when my brother lived in Baltimore. That bridge is always busy. Bet a lot of people went into the harbor

It's crazy that a bridge could collapse like that. It looks flimsy in the photo but unless ships are getting heavier you'd think bridges would be designed to withstand this type of event. It’s basic entropy. It was not repaired and maintained properly and sat over a sea salt harbor.
