Now how should I call people behind 2a) and how should I call people behind 2b) ? any proposals for terminology? Oh, I dunno, how about we call them the Montagues and the Capulets? Or the Eloi and the Morlocks? Or the Griffindors and the Slytherins? Or, wait, tell you what, why not skip the silly tribal mindset altogether and just call them people with different shades of opinion on what is in the best interest of the UK, without labelling sides, without using these in any emotive or perjorative context and without applying stupid strawmen arguments to demonise the 'wrong' side? Is that possible, or are you now too far gone for that?

Is that possible, or are you now too far gone for that? Do I see the wish for an end of a cultural war shining through? Then let me give You (*) a hint: stop handling the 48% like 'we won, get over it, we are the "us", you are the "them"' The new UK has to work for a bigger majority than 52%. At the moment the new UK works for the upper 2% only. (*) you meaning not you but your govt....

You (*) a hint: stop handling the 48% like 'we won, get over it, we are the "us", you are the "them"' The new UK has to work for a bigger majority than 52%. At the moment the new UK works for the upper 2% only. (*) you meaning not you but your govt.... Utter nonsense. You come up with these idiotic soundbites without any thought whatsoever. If the new UK works for the upper 2% (of earners?) only, how come the tax burden has shifted far more towards them than it is for virtually every other country, and faster during the last 13 years of Tory government than at any other time? How come 53% of households in the UK get more money from the government than they contribute? Do you ever look at these inconvenient facts and wonder whether statements like 'the new UK works for the upper 2% only' might be possibly making you sound like a total fuckwit?
And I'm happy you put in that disclaimer at the end - my decision to vote Brexit was taken with extreme care, after watching all the debates and (given my personal circumstances) with considerable difficulty and I never once considered the result as 'winning' or 'losing'. But even with the disclaimer you are wrong anyway. Most of the government at the time were against Brexit - we even had a couple of resignations after the result including the then prime minister; the following one who succeeded him had also voted to remain, and the whole attitude (until Boris Johnson came along) was one of profound shock and desperation to try and cancel the result (which is mainly why we ended up with such a fucking awful deal). Again, do you consider facts like this, or do you just go around in a state of denial about all what actually happened?

Did not the DEA bug the Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers' place with a device that could detect the smell of Mary Jane and when the Brothers returned from a Mexican meal did not Fat Freddy break wind onto the device causing Norbert to to get a heroic nose full ?
Overall, I am not so sure that Norbert was that successful, but if he is your ideal, well, whatever floats your boat

How come that so many are so poor... You'll need to explain what you mean. 'So many' compared to what country and/or what decade? Or is this just some other idiotic soundbite that doesn't actually mean anything?

I still have all the U-Comix containing those strips in German, I will sell them for Uncle Scrooge's gold storage 8-) The guy was called "Der notorische Norbert, der Spezi vom Rauschgiftdezi" (meaning the specialist of the Dezernat for drugs) mowlick Norbert is not my role model, but he has my name and I find the character very funny. The name is very rare in English literature - there is only a Dragon in the Potter series who also has that name

Forget it, If You don't get it by now then You won't get it anyway. This sounds like nobbi-speak for "Stop annoying me with inconvenient facts and asking me difficult questions!"And if you were anglophobic you would be saying different things? Like, you wouldn't be saying things like "I will have to fight against you Britons coming back into the EU*, or "You English people are not only a danger for yourselves, you are a danger for our Western world"?

You treat the UK exactly the same way Arvid and Xel treat Israel. That's bc in both countries there are now worrying political landslides.
What started before Brexit and just keeps going on is the fact that there are groups of think tanks and rich donors permanently swinging a wrecking ball against classic British institutions. In the game they play level for level (Brexit was a level, leavings ECHR is a level, special investment zones will be next level) the final level boss will be the nation itself as they regard its pure existence (that needs taxes) as theft of their assets! An unregulated landscape for anarcho capitalism is their end game. Sovereignty, the sugar pill sovereignty! But not for you, for them! This is what Arron Banks (a name that should be familiar to you, if not start reading the Brexit thread) tweeted this very night targeting next level enemies As a person who used to love British culture I am deeply worried. If you want to call me 'Anglophobe' for my voice then I can live with that. I also learned to live in an EU without the UK. But seeing a war of wildhog capitalism against nationhood is wrecking me in a similar way as Russia attacking Ukraine is. In case that last statement seems too strong to you - Arron Banks himself said in 2017 that Ukraine is to Russia what the Isle of Wight is to the UK...
